Honor our fallen heroes, veterans, active duty service men and women as we celebrate freedom on opening day at the historic Texas Pool. Miss Plano Ashlee Gilchrist and American Idol top 24 contestant Ron Bultongez will be joining in, as well as the Youth Trumpet and Taps Corps.

Gates open at noon. Cost is $1 per person or $5 per family which benefits the Texas Pool foundation. Military, teachers and first responders get in free with current ID.

The fun includes a cannonball contest, traditional pool games and a raffle for a free membership and other prizes.

Texas BBQ from 5-OHH, Kona Ice and snack bar are available for purchase. Coolers with food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome. Bring some extra cash for all the goodies.
