Visit the Heritage Farmstead Museum on Friday, April 13, to learn about farm life in the Great Depression during the 1930s. It’s a special day for Home school families.

View the historic radio display and see how an old fashioned radios worked. Touch and explore historic artifacts that were used during the 1930s. Play games of the past that kids during the Great Depression would have played with objects around a farm. Take a tour of the Farm Life in the Great Depression exhibit in the historic Farrell Wilson Farm House.

Plant seeds using an old fashioned hand plow. Grind corn to feed chickens. Take a ride on a tractor driven wagon. Participate in an outdoor cooking demonstration. Create and color paper dolls, a popular activity for kids during the great depression. Bring drinks and a sack lunch and have a picnic on the grounds!
