Plano has a lively and passionate dog community, and with pet-friendly businesses and open spaces a plenty, this city is a pet paradise. But did you know their world is about to get a whole lot more exciting?
With two new dog parks planned for Plano, the Parks and Recreation Department would like to invite these four-legged friends and their families out to the Dog Park at Jack Carter Park on Saturday, June 9 for its first annual Bark in the Park event. The fun and family friendly event is free and will feature vendor booths, music, raffles, freebies, Cane’s famous lemonade and tea, games, pet adoption opportunities and more. Even Sparky the Fire Dog from Plano Fire-Rescue will be there!
The purpose of this event is simple: to celebrate our local parks for National Get Outdoors Day while providing information about the new parks, as well as to raise awareness about the importance of caring for our pets and Plano’s public open spaces.
The fun takes place from 9-11 a.m. The Dog Park at Jack Carter Park is located at 2215 Pleasant Valley Drive.
