Event Details
Baltimore is the story of a racially-charged incident that divides a resident advisor Shelly’s first year students. As Shelly finds herself in the middle of a conversation she does not want to have, the pressure to address the controversy mounts from residents, the new dean, and even her best friend. Shelby must decide if she will enter the fray or watch her community burst at the seams. Sharp, funny, and searing, Baltimore is a timely drama about racism on college campuses. Baltimore was originally produced as a part of the Big Ten Theatre Consortium’s New Play Initiative, which is dedicated to commissioning works by female playwrights to be produced at universities across the country. Produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc.
