Mark your calendar forNorth Texas Giving Day on Sept. 20, a day for citizens to give anywhere from $1 to $1,000 to nonprofits bettering our community.

Turning 10 is a big deal, especially for the nation’s biggest community day of giving, which has raised $195 million for nearly 3,000 North Texas nonprofits since its founding in 2009. Communities Foundation of Texas and former First Lady of the United States Laura Bush serving as the event’s first honorary chair will mark North Texas Giving Day’s milestone year with 10 days of scheduled online giving and public events, like volunteering for vets, art group performances, goat yoga at Heritage Farmstead, and hands-on activities like making care packages for foster kids and pets.

The 10-day run-up culminates in the main attraction, North Texas Giving Day, on September 20.
